Day 1: Arrival

After a five-hour flight, we finally landed on Fuerteventura in the late afternoon. The flight had been quite nice, but our anticipation for a week of sun and beach had grown so much that I could hardly wait to finally be there.

Right at the airport, we picked up our rental car and headed south to Morro Jable. This small coastal town would be our home for the coming week.

At the hotel, we quickly unpacked our suitcases, swapped our winter clothes for lighter ones, and helped ourselves to the generous dinner buffet.

There really was something for every taste: meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes were all available.

There was also a large salad bar. Desserts were plentiful, and the selection of drinks was extensive.

After dinner, we explored our hotel.

The complex was spacious, consisting of several buildings set in lush gardens where the rooms were located.

Colorful flowers grew everywhere, and the air smelled like spring. At the center of the resort, there was a large pool with loungers and a pool bar. A small playground was also part of the complex.

Our room was very large and consisted of two rooms. In the living room, there was a comfortable sofa, a table with two chairs, and a refrigerator.

The bedroom was stylish yet minimalistic. It had only a large double bed, a small chest of drawers, and a TV.

A glass door led to the balcony, from where we could see the sea.

In the hallway, there was a very spacious open wardrobe. The bathroom was also generously sized.

Tired from the long journey, we went to bed early, full of anticipation for the coming days.
