Arrival and the First Day
Finally, the time had come – in just a few hours we would be back on a plane to Antalya. We were beyond excited, having looked forward to this trip for months.
Once we arrived at the airport, we grabbed a few snacks and bought some water for the flight. Soon after, it was already time to board.
The three-hour flight was very pleasant. Not a single cloud in the sky, so I was able to enjoy the stunning view from my window seat.
After landing, we got our luggage quite quickly, and our driver was already waiting for us. This time, we had decided against the transfer organized by the tour operator and opted for a private transfer instead. That way, we reached our hotel in Avsallar after just about an hour and a half.
It was our third stay at this hotel. Two years ago, we had been here for the first time – only for a short week back then. But that week was enough to meet new friends and fall hopelessly in love with the hotel on the Turkish Riviera.
For simplicity, I will summarize all three stays in this blog. Every year we experienced different adventures and visited different places, but the hotel was always the same.
After arriving at the hotel, we first moved into our gorgeous, huge room with a sea view on the third floor (the previous two years, we had stayed on the sixth floor).
From our balcony, we had a wonderful view over the hotel’s garden, the bay, and the endless sea.
After a quick freshen-up and unpacking, we headed straight to the bar, where our friends from Bremen were already waiting for us.
We greeted each other joyfully, hardly able to believe it had been a whole year since we’d last seen one another. The old sense of familiarity was back immediately.
We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and laughing at the pool bar. I even jumped into the refreshing sea, which I had missed so much.
After a lovely dinner together and some more relaxed hours at the pool bar, we went to bed feeling happy. Ahead of us was another beautiful holiday in this wonderful country.
