Boat Trip in Alanya

We had booked today’s trip through our tour guide—a day at sea full of sunshine, breathtaking views, and refreshing swimming stops.

After breakfast, we were picked up and taken to Alanya, specifically to the harbor there, where our ship was already waiting for us.

It was quite a large ship with two decks. On the lower deck was a bar where we could buy drinks at any time.

The highlight of the ship, however, was the upper deck, where loungers with very comfortable cushions awaited us.

The tour took us from the harbor to Cleopatra Beach, past the Red Tower and the castle of Alanya. Along the way, we saw various pirate and love caves.

Shortly after leaving the harbor, we stopped for our first swim break. The water was wonderfully refreshing, and the view of Alanya while swimming was breathtaking.

The trip continued past the steep rocky coast. Near Cleopatra Beach, there was another swim stop while the crew on board prepared our lunch.

A grill was set up, and soon it smelled wonderfully of grilled meat.

We found a cozy spot, and the excellent food was served. Besides the meat, we received steamed vegetables, bread, and sauces. For dessert, there was ice cream.

After lunch, I couldn’t resist the chance to jump into the cool water again.

Then the trip continued out to the open sea, where there was another swim stop—my favorite. Swimming in the open sea is simply the best.

Around 3:00 p.m., we finally docked again at the harbor and returned to the hotel, where we first took a long shower and then rested a bit before heading to the restaurant and later ending the day again at the pool bar with our friends.
