Rundetaarn, Grabroedretorv and Journey Home

Even the most beautiful vacation comes to an end eventually, and so our time in the Danish capital was now drawing to a close. We packed our things, stored them in the hotel’s luggage room, and enjoyed one last lavish breakfast.

Then we visited the very romantic Gråbrødretorv, one of Copenhagen’s most beautiful squares, with its picturesque houses and cozy cafés and restaurants. This place has an almost fairytale-like atmosphere.

Just a short walk away, we reached the Round Tower, which we finally climbed. Unfortunately, the weather hadn’t improved since the first day. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a wonderful view from this unique tower, which serves as an observatory.

What makes this tower special is its spiral ramp. Instead of the usual stairs, a ramp leads all the way to the top.

The tower was designed this way so that carriages could be driven up.

After the visit, we walked through a few shopping streets toward Torvehallerne to finally try the typical smørrebrød. We ordered several kinds and were delighted.

Eventually, it was time to pick up our luggage and head to the airport.

There, we enjoyed another delicious coffee.

A short, relaxing flight later, we landed back home. A beautiful vacation full of unforgettable moments had come to an end.
