A day in San Agustín

After all the adventures of the past days, we had planned a day of rest today. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast on our terrace overlooking the bay of San Agustín.

Our apartment was on the 5th floor. It had a large bedroom, a bathroom, a very well‑equipped kitchen and a living room from which you accessed the terrace. The living room also included my son’s sleeping area.

Next to the reception, there was a washer and dryer for communal use. After breakfast, we therefore started with doing laundry.

There was a wonderful rooftop terrace on the hotel, offering a magnificent panoramic view. We spent the next two hours there until it finally became too hot.

The laundry was now done; we hung it out on the terrace and then headed to the hotel pool. There, I read my book, floated on my air mattress in the water and we played “monkey teasing” in the pool. It was a very relaxed day.

In the late afternoon, we drove once again to San Fernando to do more shopping. In the supermarket, we bought groceries, but I also paid another visit to my favourite shop.

A Café con leche in a small bar rounded off our visit to this lively town. I liked living in San Agustín because we could reach the centre of San Fernando from our hotel in less than ten minutes.

In the evening, we prepared a delicious meal in our kitchen, which we enjoyed on the terrace.

Afterwards, we went out for a stroll along the promenade. It lay there beautifully while the lights reflected on the sea.

To conclude the day, we visited the rooftop terrace again. The view over the city lights stretching out to the open sea was unique. The perfect finale to a relaxed day.
