Day 7: „Hawaii“ Once More
Today was the day: we had to return our scooter and would spend the rest of our time getting around without it.
Since we had enjoyed our day on “Hawaii” so much, we decided to go again.
So we made our way back to Budva, this time on foot, following the beach promenade.
The walk was beautiful. Along the way, we visited souvenir shops and enjoyed the wonderful day.
In Budva, we walked along the beach and looked for options to get to the island.
Of course, we did not miss the chance to cool off in the water from time to time.
Before long, we found a boat that would not only take us to the island but also offer a sightseeing tour around the Bay of Budva beforehand.
Happily, we boarded the boat, and off we went.
First, we headed toward the old town and around it.
Behind it, we had a great view of the rugged cliffs.
Between them were small, hidden beaches accessible only from the water.
We also visited a cave.
Then we circled “Hawaii,” giving us a good impression of this beautiful island. There are beaches here that can only be reached by boat.
Finally, we docked at the same spot as two days earlier.
Today, the weather was much better. We picked two sunbeds at a nice beach and spent the day reading, swimming, and relaxing.
We ordered cold drinks again and again—mostly beer and cocktails—that were brought directly to our sunbeds.
The scenery around us was beautiful, so peaceful and quiet, even though there were quite a few people there today.
The water was pleasant, and without the wind it was much easier to get into the sea.
When we began to feel hungry, we returned to the same restaurant as two days before and enjoyed the view of the sea while we savored regional delicacies. They tasted much better than the international dishes we had tried two days earlier.
Eventually, it was time to leave the island again. We made our way back with heavy hearts. We had rarely felt as comfortable as we did here.
Before long, another boat set off back to the mainland.
On land, we decided to walk the way back, too. Along the way, we picked up a small snack, and we also treated ourselves to ice cream.
During the walk, we repeatedly enjoyed the beautiful view of the bay, now bathed in the warm light of the already quite low sun.
Now the holiday was almost over; only one day remained.
