Day 5: St. Georgen

And so the last day of our holiday had dawned once again.

We wanted to spend the morning in St. Georgen.

So we walked into the village, visited several shops, and enjoyed the charming atmosphere of this romantic place.

We first followed the river toward the main road. From there, the path continued past numerous shops and restaurants all the way to the parish church.

Behind it are two pretty, small squares that we had not really noticed the year before.

A small, old bakery reminded us of times long past.

After about two hours, we returned to the hotel, packed our remaining things, and loaded them into the car.

Then we spent a few more relaxing hours at the pool. We also had a late lunch there.

It was very hard for me to finally tear myself away. Still, it was time to head home.

We will definitely return to the Salzkammergut again next year. To me, it is the most beautiful region in Austria!
