A Day at the Beach

For today, we had planned a relaxed day at the hotel. After all the sightseeing and tours of the past days, this break was much needed.

After the delicious breakfast, we chose lounge chairs on the beach and even got ones in the front row.

As always, I had my exciting book with me and enjoyed reading while the sea gently rustled in the background.

I went into the sea repeatedly and swam out, while my partner took part enthusiastically in the animation activities, playing boccia and darts.

In between, we kept fetching cool drinks from the bar; at lunchtime, there were burgers with fries again. These always taste good. Eating on the beach has always been one of our highlights. Although the hotel also offers a lunch buffet, we rarely use it.

The afternoon continued as the morning had ended — reading and swimming. A few times I also grabbed the air mattress, paddled out into the sea, and held onto a buoy. Drifting on the sea like that, I let my thoughts run free — absolute bliss.

Only when the sun had long disappeared below the horizon did we leave the beach.

After a refreshing shower, we had dinner.

Then, as every evening, we marched to the beach bar.

Every evening there is either a show, a game night, a quiz night, or a dance night.

Once there was even wonderful live music. The karaoke evenings are always especially fun, as is bingo night, where over the years we have even won a few prizes.

A big compliment to the animation team — Sally, Aydin, and Charlie do a great job and help make the evenings at the hotel unforgettable. Many thanks for that!
